Afghan Partners

The Afghanistan National Development Strategy (ANDS) identifies the key areas security and good governance, including gender equality, the rule of law and economic and social development. The ANDS essentially aims to reduce poverty in Afghanistan. The German government backs the Afghan government's efforts at national level but also supports the line ministries’ departments in the provinces and districts. Moreover, experts of the Civil Peace Service promote and advise local partners from civil society in strengthening human rights and the peace process.
